Liverpool Carling Academy Review…. Especially for you
On the 15th Feb is where this story began
the Hoosiers arrived and they’ve ditched that dreadful van
they brought some friends, one called JP
and all I can say is…..what a man!
Now he’s sporting a new look
to which the crowd immediately took!
they were dancing around and stamping their feet
he took the room by storm with his incredible beat
that guy sure knows how to generate some heat!
his jeans where really tight….
and nothing was outta sight
but let’s stop there before it sounds trite.
Next on were 3 lads called the Script
Danny’s voice was smooth and he had the room gripped
we all fell under his spell
and those dreamy brown eyes had me hypnotised as well
after the show he gave us both a kiss and a hug
and all I can say is….damn he smelt good!
And last but not least with top marks
came Swallow, Skarendahl, Sharland and Sparkes
they rocked up the entire room
especially when Martin fetched out his red balloons
they even found time to play some excellent tunes!
Irwin sang every song to perfection
and his face was filled with affection
Al drummed up an infectious rhythm
bringing the music to life with impeccable precision
let’s not forget Sam who played in two bands
and he sure looks like he’s good with his hands!
His skills with a keyboard are second to none
but by the stroke of midnight it was all over, and they’d
gone.
(Wrote it a while ago but thought we’d put it here =D)T Jay
Oh my god, Glasgow Carling Academy – the second you guys hit the stage with your giant foam HOOSIERS the place went completely wild. It didn’t go unnoticed that the soundtrack to these shenanigans was from your hidden track, nice way to get the instrumentals included in the gig boys!! From start to finish this was an amazing gig and I can guarantee when Irwin was crooning I need you to reach me teach me how to love there was not a single girl who wouldn’t have taken you home right there and then! You deffo melted my little heart. The whole place exploded when Worried about Ray came on and I was there screaming the words along with the rest of the massive crowd – did you play a bum note here Irwin and in turn our note was a bit dubious eh? A couple of thousand folks singing out of tune, what a sight, lol.
My highlight of the day was Everything Goes Dark though, it’s my fave song and in that venue the sound was just soo intense and amazing. I sang at the top of my voice to all songs, jumped around like a lunatic and just generally loved every single second of it. I wish I could stick you three in a match box and then take you out a couple of times a day to see your show then pop you back on my shelf, lol. Yes I am slightly insane but then you show me any Hoosier fan that isn’t, you can’t can you?
Valid point.
