Le Mans
source: newsAloha!!
We’re currently in Le Mans (for you who don’t know it’s the place where they do the 24 hour car race) and it’s great to be back in France where we so far have been treated better then we ever could have hoped for. The weather is amazing for once! The famous race is this weekend but we are however not here to participate in any sort of racing activity even though I once won a go cart race, actually I finished 2nd… that’s lie to…I once watched my brother lose a school excursion racing event,.. sorry running. As you could have guessed we’re slogging around our musical wares in concert form and it’s a first time overlooking a racing track.
I’ve never really been in to racing. Have you? When I watch formula 1 and lets say that no 9 pass no 8 it doesn’t effect me greatly but we have just been around and seen the cars up close and it’s hard to get away from the excitement that’s in the air. I think I’d really enjoy watching the actual race because of my competitive nature and a lot of you would agree that fast cars equals fun. What strikes me though is the amount of money that seems to be put into this kind of happening. Without sounding to political, in a time when great effort is being put into reducing carbon emissions it saddens me a bit to see how monstrous an event can be that is completely selling the opposite.
On a more musical note I’m pleased to share with you that we have accelerated our efforts to begin compiling ideas for our second album. Can’t say much about the nature of this material yet but we’re excited to be creating again after a long time of showing you all album number 1 on the roads. We hope to try out some songs on your fine selves on our Autumn tour.
Gotta run
big luv
